PSI Gets Creative at the CORE Group's TB Lessons Learned Exchange

On February 5th and 6th, PSI attended the CORE Group's Lessons Learned Exchange: TB Programming from the Community Perspective. This event brought together organizations working in community based TB programming to present on their work and encourage dialogue and learning.

PSI representatives, Shannon England and Inas Mahdi presented on PSI's work in TB. Shannon presented on TB initiatives in Myanmar and Pakistan, focusing on PSI's ability to screen and refer clients for treatment. Her presentation included one of PSI's spots for TB in Myanmar, as shown on the right.

Inas presented data from PSI's VCT and TB integration in Zimbabwe. The presentation highlighted efforts to introduce VCT into TB clinics and provide TB screening for VCT clients through standard and mobile clinics. Both presentations presented lessons learned from PSI's recent initiatives in TB control, and, at the meeting's end, PSI captured the award for "Most Creative" presentation.

Inas and Shannon were excited to participate in this event and look forward to future opportunities to share lessons learned from our TB programs.
