AIDSMark's Interpersonal Communication Brochure Now Available

AIDSMark has released a new brochure highlighting some of the many innovative programs utilizing interpersonal communication approaches at PSI. Interpersonal communication (IPC) is a proven method to promote behavior change by engaging hard-to-reach groups in discussions and activities. IPC can:

  • address barriers to healthy behaviors;
  • focus on increasing risk perception; and
  • improve skills and self-efficacy among high risk groups.

The new brochure includes intervention descriptions of a diverse set of effective PSI IPC programs including those that use IPC to combat misconceptions about and barriers to healthy behavior and those that use IPC to effectively and sensitively address the HIV prevention needs of hard-to-reach populations.

Specifically, PSI programs from Zimbabwe, Myanmar, Romania, Madagascar, Uganda and Central America are included.
